Future Proofing Experienced Managers

How do we keep experienced Managers motivated and effective?

This can be a difficult subject to approach.

Scenario

Our seasoned managers have extensive experience and expertise.

However, they often get too involved in daily tasks instead of focussing on strategic contributions where they add value.

This can lead to bad habits, such as:

  • overworking
  • not delegating
  • not operating at the right level
  • not succession planning
  • neglecting difficult conversations

Some of their skill levels may also become outdated over time.

In a nutshell, to stay relevant and effective, they need to Future Proof Themselves, both personally and professionally, especially with the retirement on the horizon.

Changing family dynamics and health concerns may also be a key factor in how they feel about their future.

Solution

It’s time to hit the reset button and help these managers realise their continued value.

This requires effort and a proactive approach.

Over the past few years, I have worked with a range of managers to rebuild their confidence and self-esteem, enabling them to continue to contribute to the business while incorporating succession planning into coaching coaching and review sessions.

If you would like to discuss these areas, please get in touch.

It would be a pleasure to help. David
